Chapter 2
Back in Odaiba two days ago, Taichi Kamiya and his digimon Agumon was moving around, in search of his sister Hikari.
"Now how could Kari have just disappeared and been gone for too whole days?" Tai asked of his digimon Agumon.
"I don't know Tai. And Gatomon is worried. Really worried," said the digimon. "Kari's not anywhere. Not even in the digital world."
Tai looked at his digimon friend worried as well for his sister.
"You sure Agumon?" he asked. Agumon nods. "Where is she then?"
It had been two days ago when Hikari disappeared.
That night--two days ago the Kamiya residence--
Gatomon had been pacing from Kari's room to Tai's in worry. That digimon was worried(of course hehe). She had been waiting for Kari to return but her partner was not home now. Something that worried Gatomon.
Tai had come home and gone to his room finding Gatomon in there pacing and waiting.
"Gatomon! What are you doing here?" Tai had asked on seeing his sister's digimon partner.
"Its Kari! She hasn't returned," Gatomon spoke. Tai stared at the digimon in shock. He knew that Gatomon and Kari were inseparatable and wondered where his sister could be.
"Not here? Where then?" he practically yelled. Gatomon winced knowing that Tai was exptremly protective of his little sister and things like this brought out his protectiveness even more.
Before Gatomon could say anything more, Tai had left his room, Agumon following. After a while Gatomon also followed.
On calling Matt, TK and the rest of the digidestined to meet, Tai revealed to them that Kari was gone.
"Are you sure Tai? Did you look at her favorite places?" Sora asked.
"According to Gatomon, she was supposed to come home but hadn't," Tai said looking at Gatomon who nodded agreeing with him.
"She's not in the Digital World. She's nowehere here. I feel she's fine but not where," Gatomon spoke.
"Then we had best find out," Izzy said.
"I say we go out and find her," Davis announced. His digimon Veemon nodded.
"We need to coordinate a search first," Izzy countered. "We can't go off half cocked as it is or we may find ourselves lost."
"Fine then," Davis sighted a sweatdrop forming at the back of his head.
It wouldn't be until tomorrow before they could even start however.
DIGITAL WORLD--THAT DAY
A large shiny silver-white digimon landed before the place of Gennai. The digimon, CELESTIALMON raised her large silvery furred paw to knock but it opened before she could. Gennai stared at the large furry digimon in shock. Celestialmon looked like a very large hamster com rabbit.
"Celestialmon! Why have you woken? It can not be the time," said Gennai.
Celestialmon shook her head making her hamster/rabbit ears move with the movement.
"It is close Gennai but something else has happened. Something not right," Celestialmon said. Her face, however, belied her voice. It was stern even a bit sad.
"What? What is it? Does it involve the Digidestined of Light?" he questioned hoping that it didn't. Celestialmon nodded. As Gennai's eyes dropped for without Kari, darkness would win out.
"The Angel of Light has disappeared. The Prophesy has begun..." Celestialmon spoke in her oracle voice.
"The Digidestined of Light is no more, she has become the Angel of Light and evil once again has risen. The other digidestined must find her and protect her from the darkness. The Angel's Partner must be with the Angel."
"Then I must tell the other digidestined and Gatomon that they must find Kari and be with her. Gatomon must be with her partner." Gennai said.
"The Angel is not in our dimensional world but in another," Celestialmon responded. This news stopped Gennai who turned to look at the digimon.
"Then how are we to bring Gatomon to Kari?"
"That only Gatomon will know," Celestialmon began.
Gennai nodded as he left. Celestialmon watched as Gennai disappeared. The celestial digimon nodding hoping that the other destined would find the Angel of Light before evil found her. Kari was the only hope of light in two dimension--theirs and the one Kari was now it. Celestialmon smiled and disappeared merging with the silver-white light.
DESTINED DIMENSION---
the digidestined met up again to see if they had any word on the whereabouts of Tai's little sister. They met and Tai immediately knew the others hadn't found Kari. Gatomon sat near Agumon in a state of depression and sadness and Tai perceived that the source of Gatomon's depression was due to the loss of Kari. He moved over to the digimon.
"Don't worry Gatomon we'll find Kari," he said loud enough that only Gatomon and Agumon heard it.
"I hope so," the cat digimon whispered still sad.
The destined gathered around Tai, Agumon and Gatomon with long faces.
"Nothing. We looked everywhere. Kari was nowhere to be found," Davis was the first to speak up.
"We even looked at her favorite places, and nothing," said TK.
"Its like she just ceased to exist," Yolei said.
"We can't think like that guys. Kari's somewhere and we have to find her," Mimi answered.
"...And you will digidestined," a voice came to them.
Turning they saw the figure of Gennai. Looking at him the group was shocked. It was Gatomon who rushed over to him, dispair still written on her face.
"Gennai, do you know where Kari is?" the cat digimon asked.
Gennai shook his head even as Gatomon sighed sadly. Her hope for her partner and friend gone. Gennai saw that look, placed a hand gently on the digimon.
"But you can Gatomon," he said.
The cat digimon looked at him, the despair temporarily gone.
"Me? How?"
"The angel and Partner will always be together," Gennai recited. Sweatdrops appeared on the digidestined. They had no clue as to what Gennai was saying.
"What?" Gatomon questioned. She had heard that from somewhere. Where she just couldn't remember.
"There's a prophecy Gatomon. It involves the Digidestined of Light. You are her partner and will know where she is. But now, she's gone and only you can find her."
"Sir, how can we find my sister? She's nowhere around here," Tai responded in question.
Gennai turned, looking at Tai,
"It seems she's been sent to another dimension. Gatomon will know where to find her. Once you have reached that dimension, it will be up Gatomon," Gennai explained.
"And how are we supposed to get there?" Matt had asked sceptibly.
A white circle appeared, glowing before them.
"Go through this portal. It will take you to the dimension she is in," Gennai answered smiling at the group.
"Well let's go find my sister," Tai declared.
"Yeah!" Agumon said loudly.
Boy and digimon stepped into the light as it flared once, brightly. The rest of them brought their hands down from their eyes, the brightness had temporarily blinded them. Gasping, they stared. Tai and Agumon were gone.
"Okay," was all Matt could say.
"Come on, let's go," TK spoke.
The digidestined with their digimon stepped through the white portal. The light flared and disappeared taking the digidestined with it.
To Be Continued--
Ha Ha! I know I didn't mention what Kari's been doing cause I didn't want to. This chapter was based on the others and a bit about the Prophecy. Chapter Three moves on to the digidestined to begin their search for Kari. Well enough said, you have to read chapter three to find out. Tootles!
