MEAT PROCESSING Launched in 1994, this project aimed to help members in marketing their produce with a wide array of products like Tocino, Tapa, Longganisa, etc. carrying the brand name “Batangas Best,” now “Limcoma’s Best.” Our plant, which is located at San Jose, Batangas is facilitated with modern equipment that can yield up to more than its market demand. LIMCOMA RURAL BANK Inaugurated in May 1999, with the primary objective of extending financial assistance to members of the cooperative engaged in agricultural activities. Our bank is also open to non-members who want to avail of several types of loans a much lower interest rate. MAYFLOWER AGRI-VENTURES Another undertaking of LIMCOMA which responds to its delivery services. It is also engaged in the manufacture and trade of veterinary drugs. LIMCOMA FOOD STORE Located at Calamba, Laguna its establishment was intended to market the members’ produce. Sold here are high quality meats, and other LIMCOMA products like eggs, processed meat, distilled water and other grocery items to members/non-members of our cooperative. ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION CENTER Designated to provide improved quality of hogs in items of semen quality at an affordable price. Our center practices breed matching breed matching to implement LIMCOMA’s breeding program to members engaged in this kind of business. LIMCOMA ANIMAL DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY The establishment of the laboratory, tasked to diagnose animal diseases, is an impe-rative component of livestock productivity, sustainability and quality. The laboratory results greatly assist veterinarians, farmers and other livestock personnel in instituting the rational use of drugs in the proper treatment of ailments as well as preventive measures. With this noble move of cooperative, problems encountered in the field/farm of members as well as in our Experimental Farm will be minimized resulting to better efficiency and profits. This laboratory as capable of providing diagnostic tests such as neeropsy, bacterial isolation and identification, antibiotic sensitivity testing, fecalysis, total quantitive aflatoxin testing and semsn evaluation. VETERINARY SERVICES Free consultation and technical services are being extended by our highly qualified. Veterinarians to any member who has health problems with their livestock. PAIWI SYSTEM Aimed at helping the members augment the meager family income, LIMCOMA launched this system to give the members the opportunity to raise hogs at a very minimum capital as the piglets, feeds and drug requirements are supplied by the cooperative. FEED SUBSIDY Formerly called “Hog Contracting”, it basically has the same guidelines as the “Paiwi System”. Raisers will have the chance to raise hogs at a lesser capital for LIMCOMA will supply the feeds, drugs and veterinary services while the piglets are owned by the contract grower. PALAUG SYSTEM Directed to support our members who have the intention of venturing into poultry-raising but lack the needed capital and resources. LIMCOMA provides layer chicks under the paiwi program with the members/raisers as the buyer of the started pellets at the end of the growing period. It will only be during the laying period when the poultry-raiser shall start paying his obligation to LIMOCMA. CREDIT LINE Grants six (6) months credit line to members/raisers who intends to extend their business and who has met the set criteria. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Beneficiaries are members’ children who have passed the qualifications set by management. MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION Free medical and dental consultations are being held in different branches of LIMCOMA. DEATH AID BENEFITS LIMCOMA provides death assistance to the bereaved family of members. COMMUNITY SERVICE Through the years, LIMCOMA has functioned not only as a medium that continuously support the livelihood of its members but as an organization that upholds programs where it belongs. Our cooperative readily gives out donations to different groups that seek our kinds assistance in any form for the realization of their organization’s objectives and desired projects. The churches, victims of calamities, NGO’s, public and private schools are only few of the recipients of this support. It is also an active supporter of the many livelihood programs the community is sponsoring spearheaded by Lipa’s Municipal Mayor. Sincere with its objective of helping the community, the Board of Directors, in its August 25, 2000 regular meeting approved on forming a Community Service Committee. The members were formally called for its first meeting on August 31, 2000. LIMCOMA may well be considered as the “Father of Feed milling Business in Batangas” as it awakens the minds of our farmers to stand up from their long futility and compete with those multi-national feedmillers. It motivates livestock and poultry farming in Batangas, giving more families different sources of income that could provide the community member decent living. The volume of business Limcoma has is a surefire gauge of determining the number of families it has provided a living which includes its employees and the families producing the local raw materials needed such as rice bran, corn, copra, local fishmeal and the like. Moreso, as it has a multiplier effect, mese families can now provide their children with quality education that would help uplift the standard of living in every community. For the many areas our outlets and branches are present, we not only give a future to our community but to our neighbors as well. |
