Lima Radio was formed in 2003 by operators formally in the "original" sugar delta group. The Sugar Delta 11 meter group was originally formed by Dino 1sd001 and Sandro ex-1sd002 in Italy in 1992 to promote the use of worldwide 11 meter communications for  friendship and understanding . In a few short years, Sugar Delta  became one of the premier operator groups in the world. In 1999 however,that dream was shattered when the club was split over differences on who and how it should be run with both sides being termed Sugar Delta. The group that stayed with Dino was termed "Original Sugar Delta" and the splinter group, now head quartered in 14 Div. France ,was termed "International Sugar Delta" but called itself  Sugar Delta also. Due to the problems with the splinter group,Dino formed the Lima Radio group with it's official debut 1st January,2003 and pulling all ties to sugar delta on that date also.
