Rat Sneezing / Rat Sneezes
So, your rat sneezes?
Well, yes, it could be several things.  Although most likely, it is Mycoplasma. Mycoplasma pneumonia is a very durable, long-lasting, and generally fatal disease. If your rat is sneezing, it's definitely not a good sign. IT'S SO CLOSE TO BEING POSITIVELY MYCOPLASMA, I'D LIKE TO GUARANTEE IT! But then if I guaranteed it, ten people would send me mail saying "Well my rat sneezed but it just had allergies" or "My rat sneezes but it's just from it's bedding being changed."
Of course, it
CAN be allergies.
Yes, it
can be from it's bedding being recently changed.
It
can be from it needing to be cleaned.
BUT PROBABLY NOT!
If your rat sneezes, I urge you to take it to a vet. Right now. Don't bother to turn off the computer. Just go to the vet. Right now. Before the infection gets any worse. Right now. Please.
I waited a few weeks to take in the rats... Nuh uh, that wasn't so smart. No, take it in NOW.
If the vet says, "Let's wait on it" you tell him/her "No, let's not." Because my vet told me to wait three weeks to see if it got worse, and that was about the crappiest thing he could have done. Unless the vet assures you he's absolutely positive it's just allergies or just from a cold, MAKE HIM GIVE YOU THE MEDICINE! A lot of vets don't know what they're doing when it comes to rats, because most people don't actually bring in their rat if it's sick. But those people really suck.

I know I don't explain this well. But hey, that's why there's also the links that do know how to say what they're saying.
