Silver Rain
Eight

I didn't wake up the next morning. I just laid beneath the covers hiding from the world. What did wake me was a knock on the hotel room door. Certainly I didn't care, burring my head beneath the pillows. Suddenly, I felt someone shaking me gently. I sneezed my face buried in the pillow, "Gawd...Please go away!" I yelled, my voice muffled by the pillow. Yet, I still got shook, flipping to my back, I opened my eyes, forgetting where I was or what I was doing here. I was looking into the bluest pair of eyes I had ever seen in my entire life. Realization dawned on me.

"Get up..." Taylor said quietly, as I swung my feet off the bed so they touched the soft carpet. I gave him a mournful look. "Zac's not pissed at you or me anymore...He gets over things quickly."

"This is our last day." I moaned, looking out the window, the sun slightly irritating my soft blue eyes. "I don't wanna go home..."

Taylor slightly grabbed onto my hands, pulling me to my feet, "Come on, get up." he pleaded. Sighing I ruffled a hand through my short blonde tresses, my whole body dizzy and weak from lack of sleep. "We got a present for you guys..."

"I got a present for you and Zac." I commented subconsciously as Taylor started to push me towards the bathroom.

"Get dressed...." Tay begged as I wandered into the bathroom, grimacing at my hair, all knotted and tangled. Quickly I yanked a teal comb though my hair, straightening it out, so I looked cute again. Pulling on my last clean clothes, MUDD jeans, a white NSYNC baby tee, and a baby blue plastic hooded jacket over it. I stumbled out of the bathroom, falling right into Tay. "Ready?" he asked, but I shook my head reaching into my backpack and pulling out a box reading 'Tay' on the top.

Blinking, he opened it. It was a small silver cross on a black cord. "I knew you liked necklaces..." I shuddered, not sure if he liked it or not. "You like?" I spat out, studying my hands.

"Yeah. Thanks." he commented putting it on and dragging me out of the room, a small box in my palm. I held it so tight my knuckles turned white, as Tay yanked me into the lobby.

"You must be April?" a tall blonde lady asked, a tiny baby girl in her arms...Diana?

"Yes...that's me." I said shyly, looking to the red carpet.

"I've heard so much about you and Jennifer and I've decided along with my husband that it would be alright for like four of you were to come to Tulsa with us for the last month of break." she explained, "I'm sure we will be able to convince your parents to let you come with us."

"You mean...you want us to come to Tulsa?" I spat out, my eyes wide and filled with confusion.

"Yes. Right now Walker is calling home to your parents and trying to get an okay of who can come. But he did mention that April had to watch her cousin for two weeks." Diana said dryly and Zoe wiggled around in her arms.

"We're going to Tulsa!" I squealed, my eyes dancing as I looked to my best friend. I couldn't believe we were able to go. 'Tusla with Hanson!' I mouthed to Jen, she grinned and mouthed back 'with my boyfriend'

I turned around to see Zac's adorable face grinning at me. Handing him the box, I casually explained it was supposed to be a good-bye gift but instead it was a thank you gift. He opened it up, laughing when he saw the lime jello mix and a orange and blue string bracket. "Made by yours truly." I said, as he put the bracket around his left wrist.

"I like it." Zac said with a soft smirk.

"What are we going to do?" Issac asked, "We still got half a day to blow!"

"Sorry boys..." I said softly, "But I got to pack...I'm going to Tulsa." Giggling me and Jen took off up the nearest set of stairs. Running into room 214 before collapsing to the ground in a fit of giggles.

"I can not believe that we are going to Tulsa...with Hanson!" Jen cried, all giddy and hyper. I wasn't much better. I was taken by surprise too.

"I know. You can be with Ike, and I can get to know Zac more!" I exclaimed folding my clothes and placing then nicely into my large gym bag.

"Don't forget about Tay." Jen added, stuffing her beanie bag weenie dog into the front pouch of her bag. "He's nice and sweet...We'll have fun with him."

"Yeah..." I said, my cheek tingling slightly from where he kissed me earlier. "Did Ike like his shirt?"

"Of course he did." Jennifer spat out quickly, "Didn't you see him wearing it?" I hadn't even seen Issac downstairs.

"No didn't notice..." I tried to cover up, "I must have been too excited to go to Tulsa to acknowledge it." Was Matt downstairs? "Is Matt going with us?" I quickly asked.

"No, he refuses to go, he said something about this time around he wasn't going to get what he wants and that he wants to go home because of that." She explained.

"Oh. Great." I moaned, the thought of him running around town blurting out that I was dating Zac. That's something I wanted to keep a secret, for the fear of evil, demented stalkers.

"That's what I said!" Jennifer cried, throwing her arms in the air, in a defeated jester.

~*~ A Hour--Or So--Later ~*~

Sighing I dragged ALL of my bags to the elevator, Jennifer behind me with just as many bags. I was out of breath by the time I reached my destination. I couldn't believe Matt and Luke were going to take the stairs!

"Tired much?" I asked Jennifer as I hit the button reading first floor.

"Very!" She exclaimed, dropping all her bags with a loud thud. Feeling slightly dizzy as the elevator went down, I held onto the sides. Is the plane ride going to be like this? I hope not! When we finally reached first floor I took a few seconds to regain myself before lifting my bags. Caring them into the lobby, the only person there was Zac...In tan cords and a blue long sleave shirt.

Letting my bags drop to the ground near the chair, I wandered over to Zac. Tapping him slightly on the shoulder and he turned to see me smiling at him. "This may seem sudden...but you want to dance?" I said, quoting Zac from earlier that week. Extending my hand palm up, I gave him a soft smile.

"It would be a honor." he said, ignoring my hand and just wrapping his arms around my waist. Placing my arms around his shoulders, I leaned my head against his chest. We swayed gently back and forth to the music--Mariah Carey's 'My All' Zac and I danced long after My All until everyone had filled up the lobby.

Pulling away I whispered to him, "thank you." Grinning he assured me we'd dance again very soon. I'm sure we would...and I'm sure Tulsa will be a blast. I glanced outside, it was pouring out. I heard Zac whisper, "Look, it's silver rain...."

AN: Sorry, but there never will be a sequal...I'm just not into the cheesy, unoriginal fan fictions anymore. 1
