Ice blue eyes glared across the commons at a young boy with reddish-brown hair that was the after effects of trying to dye dark brown hair a light blond. He was short and had dark choclate brown eyes, the kind of guy that could easily make vulnerable girls fall for him.
Shaking her head slightly, Brooke returned her gaze to one of her close friends, who was quietly eating a hamburger. "Care about me? Obviously not. He thought he could get sex from me, and when he found out he couldn't...he quickly moved on." she spat out, angerily.
"That's not true." Laura muttered, "Don't think that way."
"Why not? That's obviously what he was going for, that's why he is dating that Danielle chick, for bang time."
Laura laughed slightly, "Bang time." Brooke smirked, she always came up with dumb little sayings that they would probably used over and over in the next week or so.
"I don't need him anyways." Brooke stated, "I can do better."
"Yeah!" Laura yelped, taking a bite of her hamburger. Sighing, Brooke boredly glanced out the large picture window in the commons, the sunlight was shining down onto the snow making it look like a large crystal or something. Suddenly she felt cold hands being placed over her blue eyes, it felt as if a sheet of ice had fallen over her.
"Laura...?" Brooke spat quietly, her hands rising up and running over the pair that was placed over her eyes. Her breath came short as she slide her hand up his arm, touching a plastic bracelet, her stomach churned.
"Yeah, it is." she shot, her voice hard and cold.
"Joe..." she slowly removed the pair of hands that were over her eyes and glanced up to see his choclate eyes and a smiling face looking down at her. Damn flirt Brooke thought, sadly looking away from him.
"How are you two?" he said, a large grin plastered on his face as he slid onto the bench next to Laura. Laura turned to him, a pitiful look on her face.
"I need to talk to you." she growled slowly. Brooke sighed, lightly running her fingers over the side of the table and tracing the cuts and grooves that past students have made. "So, who's Danielle?" Rolling her eyes, Brooke tried to ignore the conversation, what was the point of listening anyways?
"We're just friends...we've been friends since we were little." Joe snapped, reaching out and tickling Laura, who slightly slid on the bench, ramming into Brooke. Turning, she shot Laura an evil look.
"Brooke, you're not supposed to be listening!" Laura wailed, swatting her hand at her friend as if to say 'go away'. Shaking her head slowly, Brooke cupped her chin in her hand and stared mournfully out the window again...the pain about to tear at her heart. Friends Brooke thought, also known as back stabbers
