Hidden Emotions

"Oh, hey Gil!" Lindsi called, her eyes dancing and a wide smile plastered across her face as she waved frantically trying to get his attention. He turned, his long blond hair blowing in the wind as he looked away from his car to see her waving to him. When she realized she had stopped him from crawling into the drivers seat of the car, she ran over by him.

"Hi Linds," He grinned, looking down at her smaller frame. She was short, much shorter than him.

"I just got back from Tennesee and being with my family," She spat, "That's why I haven't been around, I wasn't sure if Brooke has told you or not. I just didn't want you to, well, think I didn't like you anymore."

"Speaking of Brooke, do you know if she went home sick or something because she wasn't in Creative Writing today," Gil muttered, studying her face for any sign of why Brooke would have skipped her favourite class.

"Maybe she just didn't feel creative today," Lindsi stated, lifting her shoulders in a slight shrug. "You know her, always needs to be one hundered percent ready for that class or she's a complete wreck."

"So, you think she skipped?" he questioned, watching her tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and tilt her head slightly. A soft smile lighting the corner of her lips as she did so, which instantly forced a grin upon Gil's creamy face.

"Of course!" She laughed, reaching out and touching his arm slightly. He shivered under her fingers as they graced the top of his skin, and she knew she'd be able to distract him for Brooke. Plus, he was gorgeous anyways.

"Normally I see her by her locker after school..." Gil choked his words out as she stared at her, "But she wasn't there and I wanted to apologize to her for somethings that I said to her earlier. It was rude, and I shouldn't have..."

Lindsi pulled her head close to his and gently whispered in his ear, "Don't worry about it, she'll get over it. Brooke has a way of getting people to drive her home when she doesn't want to be at school any longer. Gil, she knows your just alittle overprotected, but she still cares about you...she'll get over it."

"Okay..." He whispered, his breath warm on the side of her face as he tilted his head towards her more. His lips nearing hers as if he were about to kiss her.

"Hi Lindsi," Came Tal's voice from where he had pulled himself out of the car and was sitting on the closed car door. Lindsi yanked away from Gil and skipped over to where his little brother was watching the carefully.

"Tal, how have you been?" She gushed, glancing back toward Gil and rolling her eyes slightly. she knew it was driving him nuts.

"Not the greatest," He laughed, "But still breathing."

"That's good," Lindsi smirked, flipping her hair over her shoulder.

"Did you need a ride home, Linds?" Gil called from behind them, coming up beside her and flashing a warm smile. Turning away from Tal, she smiled brightly, letting her white teeth shine under the sunlight.

"Why, thank you Gil," She grinned, "It beats walking home." He laughed and gave Tal a threatening look, and his brother took it as a imediate, 'get in the back seat look.'

"Sit in the front seat, I like the back better anyways," Tal gushed, jumping out of the car and quickly giving up his previous spot. Gil nodded thankingly to his brother and opened the passangers side door for Lindsi. She crawled into the front seat, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Laura standing by the side of the school building glaring at her. What a bitch, Lindsi thought as she shook her head in disgust.
