| Why is it that we try so hard to control the things we have no right to control... things we know there is no way of stopping... like putting a kitten in front of Juggernaut. NOT a bright idea. My favorite thing to do is talk about controversy. It makes me enemies most of the time but then I usually know who my true friends are. I think gay marriage is fine. I think a government should not have the right to say it isn't. Some people might start saying "Well if you say gay marriage is fine then you will agree with people trying to marry hteir cousins and children..." No. Marriage between two consenting adults, whether gay or straight or whatever... is fine! Marriage between family? Not so great. Marriage between a 13 year old and a forty year old? Kinda gross. Really gross. I don't see what the big problem is. If people love each other and are both old enough to know what love is, it shouldn't be a problem. |
| Someone told me earlier this year that gay marriage was wrong in the same sense that interracial marriage is wrong. No. Love has no race, no sex, no religion. Love is simple, and hard sometimes too. It can cause us the greatest pain and yet the greatest happiness at times. My main point is... love has no boundaries, why should marriage? Some groups are saying it is against God's will to have gay marriage, however I think... this is a GOVERNMENT issue. Not a church related one. Yes, people are entitled to their opinion, however forcing your own beliefs on others isn't right either. If you don't believe in two men or two women loving each other and getting married? Fine. Don't believe in it, but don't try to change them either. |
