CASTLEVAINA
SERIES
(NES, SEGA, SNES,PSX, N64, GBA, PS2)
Castlevaina is a really straight-fowrad game, well maybe to the ones who just love action, and there are the ones who love a story behind the game. This series has 2 genres played into the game. In the earlier games, it was more about whippin' ass (no pun attended) and defeating Dracula. And in the later games, the game took more of a RPG feel, like Symphony of the Night, and Aria of Sorrow, but at the end of the day we all can agree on that we must kill Dracula to finish the game. Not entirely. Remember when I was talking about the story part, well here's where you part enters. For example, for the people who pay attention, have you notice you don't always have the option to play has a Belmont, in fact, you can play as a half-vamp, human (Alucard), a human w/ demonic powers (Soma), and a female of all things that has psychic powers (off N64 version). Another ponderer, Vampire Hunter D fans, D was the son of Dracula, well so was Alucard. Interesting. It must be sad for a vamp to be killed by his on vamp son, I betcha Angel (WB show) knows just how he's feelin. The menus of the game gets more indepth as the more games get release. First you actually get to use swords and manipulate the "dungeon items" (like knives and crosses) in a differnt way, you get to save food instead of eating it when you didn't probably have to, and there's a lv. system and equipment section. As with any series (and a productive one at that) consistency is key and Castlevaina has proven that.
