With my dad being transferred to Kittery, ME in 1963, I was raised in Maine until I left in 1979. This plate was on my 1973 Dodge Dart. |
|
|
I was born in North Carolina in 1960 and lived here for three years. My dad's initials are 'RC' and I
was a US Marine Corps brat.

Like father, like son. I joined the USMC in 1979, went to SC for boot camp and then to TN for my basic school.

California!! Arrived in this beautiful state in 1980 and stayed until 1983. This was my first vanity plate and it was on my
Pontiac Ventura. |

While stationed in So. California, I met and fell in love with Lisa, my wife since 1983. Lisa was born and raised in Georgia and this was her plate that adorned her Toyota.
Lisa was also in the Marine Corps. |

With Lisa getting orders in 1983 and
my discharge in 1983. we ended up
in North Carolina. This was one of my earliest plates ('86 sticker) in NC and
again I used "Lil' Ski" |

Economics factored in with this plate. Could not afford vanity plates any more so I resorted back to the ordinary. This
one shows the 1989 sticker with a registration number on it.. |

Better times came back and so did my precious vanity plate. I did drop the apostrophe on this version though. I kept this plate until 1997 when I received
my KofC plate with number K019. |

Got rid of this plate from Lisa's car when
I received my Knights of Columbus plate number K265. 1998 sticker with the license plate number on it. |

I joined the DAV in 1995 and became a life member. |
|
