Documents family farm life with Boer goats and horses
Kids are dropping and so are eggs!

I cannot believe the hens are laying in this cold weather, but they take that job seriously!  I allow them to free roam at the house, and I think it is amazing they will trek back into the hen house to lay...then back out they go!  If only the little terror named Heather (pug-pomerian cross) would give them peace to peck...

Two new goat kdis were born today as I arrived to the farm after work, and I was thrilled both were heathly and ready to drink.  New momma Chocolate had eating on her mind instead of standing still for her new buck, so I needed to help her black kid, Luke Duke.  The other doe, Curly, is an experienced mother, so she was a pro.  Her kid had a big, fat milk-filled belly when I lifted him up.  We plan to disbud Friday, so I dread that, but it needs done as the little bucks will be sold.
