Tomoyo first appears in episode 1. Tomoyo is Sakuras' best friend and very quickly finds out she's a Card Captor. During the first episode, after Sakura captured Fly, she decided to try it out and Tomoyo just happened to catch her flying accros the moon. After that she decides to make costumes for Sakura saying,"A magical girl must dress like one."

Tomoyo also loves Sakura very dearly and loves to video tape her. She always thinks Sakura is cute or charming. Tomoyo is also very rich, her mother owns a toy company. Because of this she gets many prototypes to test out and usually gets an extra for Sakura.
