Angelic Layer is a very wonderful manga by CLAMP. The anime has just been released in Japan. I haven`t read much of the manga, but from what I've seen its very good. The main character, Misaki Suzuhara, has moved to Tokyo to live with her Aunt, Shouko-san. As Misaki arrives at Tokyo Station she sees a battle begin. She looks on at the fight and thinks the smaller opponent is going to loose, her being small herself she doesn`t think the women would win. But in the end she does, Misaki thinks the battle was so kawaii! And finds out the women were toys. She must have one now!

Misaki finds out the game is called "Angelic Layer" and the dolls, angels, are controlled by a deus (owner). She's thrilled to find out that she can make her angel look like whatever she wants and is helped by Icchan (real name Mihara) to find and buy the items she needs to have an angel. She buys the angelsegg which is a special egg-shaped container that holds the angel and all the other items and creates "Hikaru". (Hikaru looks almost exactly like Hikaru from Magic Knights Rayearth)

Escaflowne is a very mysterous anime that really gets your imagination going. Great graphics and a mysterous plot... Hitomi was transported to the land of Gea with Van who is the king of Fanelia. Then on in Hitomi sees horrible visions of death and destruction and eventually leads everyone on a journy using her pendant. Peoples pasts unravel and are set before the viewer. Great emotion is put into this series. Sadness is the main part of this plot line. But the happy little moments creep in here and there so you don`t get to depressed. Also there are some great action and emotional trials in this series. He loves her but she loves someone else ect... While the story in whole is a great one I was kinda disapointed at the end. Maybe I`ll tell you why next time I update this page ^_~*
