Meiling originates from Hong Kong China and first appears in episode 20. She comes to Japan chasing after her fiancee Sayoran. Though she does not have any magic capabilities she is a very skilled fighter. Even strong enough to take on the fight card one on one. Meilin is also very protective of Sayoran and finds Sakura a rival for his love. So in turn she is very snobby and mean to Sakura. Although very protective of Sayoran she can get in the way when captureing a card. Her lack of magic keeps her from ever really helping out. (poor Meilin!)

Meilin is one of the few people from the Li clan that doesn`t possess magic powers. Because of this she can`t sense any Clow Cards so she follows Sayoran where ever he leads. Besides her fighting abilities Meilin is very good at running and singing. And in the begining she always thinks she's the best of everything and is very arrogant. But during the season she becomes quite a nice person. (I even end up likeing her)
