Like I said earlier, I have been spoiled working with wonderful young skaters. They are innovative, unique and creative, but they also are a ton of fun! We all get a long very well, and enjoy the hours spent at the rink in company with one another.
One thing that I have always been impressed with is our idea of a team. Figure skating is perceived as an individual sport, but it isn't. As a skater you need the support of other skaters, just like you need support from teammates. You need someone to push you and make you want to improve often times this is another skater or coach. You also need someone to tell you everything is fine when you have a bad practice, just like a teammate would. Someone to tell you you're doing awesome is a nice thing too.
And just like team does, we hang out together. We do things to help improve the bond between the skaters and coaches. We are all there to help each other. SQSA All the Way!
