********a tried and true recipe for yas from my mammas cookbook********
Rhubarb Preserves
5
cups of rhubarb
4
cups of white sugar
1
box Strawberry Gelatin
Cut
rhubarb into small pieces. Add 4 cups of white sugar-cover
tightly in a large kettle and let stand 4 hrs-until liquid has
formed. Remove cover and place kettle on low heat-as juice
completely covers rhubarb-heat may be turned up-bring to a good hard
boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat-skim off foam-stir in one
box of Strawberry jell-o pour into glass jars-cover with
paraffin. May be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.
Enjoy!
