Old News - July 11, 2003
My mom mailed my hair to Locks of Love for me last week, so it's finally gone.  I had hoped to get pictures of it, but I haven't picked up the picture cd yet.  Who knows when that'll happen...

I just got back from Cowen, which is the greatest place in the world.  I was just reading the profiles of some of the people from my cabin, and they called Cowen exactly what I do: a little piece of heaven.  It's like, you come through the gate, and you can just feel God's presence.  It's the most amazing place.  Leaving is hard, especially since this was my last year as a camper.  Before I left, I went to campfire and cried, until Alissa called me and Jenny over the intercom to leave.  LOL.  Like I said at campfire on Friday, I'm definitely coming back to be a counselor next year.  I just can't imagine not going back.  I also realized that I've gone for 9 years, not 10, because I had to have surgery the summer of 2001 and didn't get to go to camp.  Technicality...  Anyway, as always, it is hard to leave Cowen and all the people, and I have been praying that everyone keeps whatever decision they made, big or small.  It's a lot harder to be a Christian in the real world, when you're not surrounded by other Christians.

I don't think anyone in our cabin will forget:  Snap-Snap! Crackle-Crackle-Crackle! Pop! Collins!

And...the Semper Fi concert ROCKED!
