Boston July 4, 2002
Katherine, Rachel, and I spent the July 4th holiday in Boston Massachusetts.  Boston is a great city and we had fun....so much fun, that I had to put our trip online :)
Here are some shots of the city....
This is a shot of the Charles River looking at the Cambridge side.  Very beautiful.
The Old Opera House: one of my favorite buildings that we saw.  It was right down the street from our hotel, too bad it was closed for renovation...I would have liked to take a peek inside.
That is one of the neat things about Boston, you see these really old buildings like the Old State House, and this Opera House in the midst of very tall modern-day buildings.  They have just built around it.

The plane ride to Boston was nice, we didn't die, that's always a plus.  We did however see a guy who looked like a young Al Gore, and another who looked like Hugh Grant "ugly-style"
Kat and I stayed at the Swissotel, which is in the Financial District in Boston.  It was very ritzy.  We got a terry-cloth robe and an umbrella to use!  There was also a mini bar, which we eventually dipped into.  Hotels this classy don't have vending machines.  As Kat put it, "Class up the ass."  I couldn't have said it better myself.
(Getting to Boston and Watching the Pops' Preview Concert)
Before going to the concert, we ate at the "Bull and Finch Pub" which is the bar that the TV Show, "Cheers" was based on.  Good Chowda!
We wandered around some after the concert, and pretended to be massacred...except we were complete morons and pretended to be massacred in front of the wrong building.
The Pops' preview concert was nice.  I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn't had such a horrible headache.
