| A Haunted Tale Continued |

| I was cooking dinner, and during dinner and even after dinner the noise persisted. Yet I was the only one besides DeeDee that it let hear it at the time. Around 8 p.m. of the same night, DeeDee and I were in the dining room. I was watching her play with her toys in a corner. She started looking at the pages in her colorbook when I noticed a loud noise from above and it grew pretty loud. I looked up at the ceiling and merely thought to myself..."For Pete's sake, stop all that raquet!" when all of a sudden one of DeeDee's teddybears had been lifted out of her toy box with unseen hands and thrown so violently in her toy box that it actually bounced back out! My husband DID get to hear and see that. The noise persisted throughout the night and grew louder and louder! Around 11p.m. we picked up all the sleeping children and went to a motel for a night's sleep. I just can't bring myself to stay alone in the house with DeeDee since the other children had gone back to school. When my husband leaves for work and the other kids go to school, DeeDee and I leave until the time they are due to come home. Often I try and turn the TV on but it is never loud enough for me. The same with the radio. I turn on nice music, but the minute I turn my back it shuts itself off, I have written a paper called "Action Line" for help. No one seems at all interested. They merely sent me a postcard telling me to watch the paper for a reply that would fit our problem. No help from there either. Surely this is something you don't run into everyday. A few nights ago I woke up and looked around at my front door. All seemed quiet so I dropped back asleep. A little while later, I woke againwith my eyes fixed on the front door. This time I seen a form, a white form. It was a woman wearing an old fashioned granny cap with ruffles all around her head. I could not make out any features at all, but she had on a long white nightgown and she was carrying a candle holder and a candle. This candle was so bright it reminded me of a child's sparkler on the fourth of July. I remembered what Terry did, and I turned over and went back to sleep. I now keep the door shut. Several nights my husband had complained that it was so terribly hot in the bedroom. I usually agree with him, but this time I was in a beautiful breeze. The window is on his side of the bed. Strange, but I seem to be sleeping quite comfortably these past few nights. This has happened often. On two occasions when walking past my dining room table, I am suddenly engulfed in cigar smoke. Our dining room was once a living room before being remodled. Lately not only cigar smoke but strong perfume and after shave fill the air. I have heard music playing on several occassions, but the minute I become aware and stop to listen it stops! The last time I heard the music it was an organ playing (mine I might add). This time it played all the way through after I noticed it. The song was "The Waltz" op 39 by Brahams. It was just heavenly! We have a little puppy now about 3 months old. I was in the kitchen working when I looked at the pup and it seemed like someone was holding it's heads down.He seemed like he couldn't get away until someone released it. We decided to keep the pup in the kitchen, seeing as it is not trained yet. I put a gate up in the entrance way so he couldn't get through. As I turned to walk back in the living room, the pup began to whimper. I turned around to comfort the pup and there he was in the air being gently lifted over the gate and placed beside me on the floor. I quick snatched up the pup and sat outside til everyone came home. One day while I was sewing, I started to put my foot pedal up on my machine as I finished a project. It was up by the needle as I sat back and thought if there was anything I needed to sew yet before I put it away. All of a sudden the machine began to sew by itself, there was no material in it of course, I put my hand in the air over the pedal and the machine stopped. That ended my sewing for the day! I pulled the plug fast and put it away. As I sat in the living room, we watched little plastic flowers that I have in a vase float to the floor. On November 14th, after a new fallen snow Terry was up in her room and yelled that someone through a snowball at her window. My husband and I went to check it out. I asked Terry if there was snow or water on her window and she said no it had been clear when she looked out to see if she could see anyone. My husband and I went to the front door, in the fresh fallen snow were three footprints stepping from the house of someone's bare feet...You could clearly make the toe prints out. The rest of the side walk was clear. A while later both Terry and my son went to our front door and then the back claiming they heard someone rapping, but found nobody there. My husband and I heard nothing. Last night while Terry took her shower she let out a blood curdling scream. We jumped up to see what was the matter. She claimed someone was looking at her through the window. I said that was impossible for they would need a ladder to do so as we have 15 foot ceilings. She insisted she seen this person, and she said it was a woman with red hair and glasses. My husband and I believed her as she was quite frightened this time! We went outside to check but the only prints were animal prints leading from the sidewalk over to where the bathroom window was, but we doubted a dog took a ladder and peeked at her. The next evening my sister brought her daughter and a friend over. The girl doubted our stories were true and wanted to see for herself. They had gone upstairs and were not there long when they came flying down the stairs and out of the house. My sister and I ran outside to see what the problem was...All they could say was they heard footsteps and tiny childlike giggling. Needless to say the girl became a believer! We have since moved from this house, but the goings on still occur. Only not as loud at times. I truly feel we have been "chosen" to hear and see from beyond this world. Back to Ghost Stories |
