Song of the Moment

Gone. By Switchfoot from their album the Beautiful Letdown
*she told him she'd rather fix her makeup
*than try to fix what's going on
*but the problem keeps on calling
*even with the cellphone gone
*she told him that she believes in living
*bigger than she's living now
*but her world keeps spinning backwards
*and upsidedown
*don't say so long in the cellphone
*don't spend today away
*cuz today will soon be

*gone, like yesterday is gone,
*like history is
*gone, just trying to prove me wrong
*and pretend like your immortal

*she said he said live like no tomorrow
*every day we borrow
*brings us one step closer to the edge (infinity)
*where your treasure, where's your hope
*forget the world and lose your soul
*she pretends like she pretends like she's immortal
*don't say so long
*your not that far gone
*this could be your big chance to makeup
*today till soon be

*gone, like yeterday is gone,
*like history is gone,
*the world keeps spinning on,
*your going going gone,
*like sumemr break is gone,
*like saturday is gone
*just trying to prove me wrong
*you pretend like your immortal your immortal

*we are not infinite
*we are not permanate
*nothing is immediate
*we're so confident
*in our accomplishments
*look at how dark it is

*gone, like Frank Sinatra
*like Elvis and his mom
*like AL Pichino's cash nothing lasts in this life
*my highschool dreams are gone
*my childhood sweets are gone
*life is a day that doesn't last for long

*life is more than money
*time was never money
*time was never cash,
*life is still more than girls
*life is more than hundred dollar bills
*and oh the town fills
*life more than fame and rock and roll and thrills
*all the riches of the kings
*and up in wills we got information in the information age
*but do we know what life is
*outside of our conveinent Lexus cages

*she said he said live like no tomorrow
*every moment that we borrow
*brings us closer to the God who's not short of cash
*hey Bono i'm glad you asked

*life is still worth living, life is still worth living *

***It's honestly a brillant song. Wow. brillance. Life...***

Mooooosic!!!

Music... ah one of the few sane things in my life. I simply had to put a page dedicated to music up one day or another. Well that day has come and although I admit- I totally don't think the layout is perfect, I dig the record- vintage baby! So anyways, here's the site dedicated to all the wonderful bands/songs/etc I'm digging right now or probably ever. Ok so I don't flaunt my Britney Spears liking as much as my love of The Shins or Death Cab for Cutie but really come on- my musical tastes do have their roots in pop kinda ya kno! Yeah I have such an assortment of my "favorites" so go ahead and laugh. But when I grow up and become like a whatever the hell they call music gurus, you'll be the one with the questioning glare... ok that was not an insult at all. Hehe stiney with her complimentary insults and her insulting compliments... hehe Enjoy the bands because goodness knows I do!!! *stiney*

Keep in mind its alphabetical hehe - I'm good at sparing the feelings of bands. The only way to know my "true" favorites to to see which ones are new and since I have like a new "fav!" band every 2/3 days, keep your eyes peeled (like a banana. "like an onion?" "yes like an onion")

AFI- ok ok I'll admit I only got into them after they sold out.... my bad- forgive me for being like a preppy little 5th grader! *gasp!*

Beyonce- ok I've like never heard most of her stuff but DANG! That girl can carry a tune, thats for sure

Blink 182- aka Tinky! Hehe I love blink 182 soooo much I know they're prep music and overplayed whenever they have a single out. But I don't care I llooooove them!

Bloodhound Gang- Actually I've only ever heard 1 song (that I know of) by them... Nothin but mammals. lol that's the song that makes me think of little Alex and intersession. Hehe that's one weird kid but ya gotta laugh at him. tee hee tee hee jk

Blue October- Ha! I have the funniest story about them. So I found out (I don't remember from who) that Paul was into "Calling You" by Blue October and had sung it to his gf(s) (how the hell am I supposed to keep track of the girls he's pimped.. i mean dated. lol i'd say jk but its partially true. hehe but ur cool neways... generosity) anyways, i found out Paul was into "good music" and it really scared me because (no offense Paul) he's so like... wanna be ghetto white boy (hoe-la, don-day es-taaa) that I was sure he'd be into gangsta gangsta rap (hell yeah my homie g-wizard greg! lol) but he's actually into really good music. dammit. lol it's great though.

Bowling For Soup- GENIUS!! For some unexplicable reason, everytime I hear "Girl All The Bad Guys Want" I think of Katie O. Lol I don't realy know but anyways this band is genius. I picked up their album at Target Greatland in So Cal after the American Pride and I fell in love. It's... it's well... it's AMAZING. Seriously, it's just genius, preppy- "punky" rocky emo-y. I don't honestly know- it can't be classified. But that's the best type of music because it's music for ya soul... where did that hallmark moment come from? tee he tee hee (STOP WITH THE TEE HEE TEE PEE!!!)

Boxcar Racer- Really really genius. Not like BFS (^) genius, but just plain rock genius. It's emotional, it's honest, it's laid bare and upfront. I can't stop raving about how much Boxcar Racer rocks and I love love love them

Brand New- No one's heard of them and when I say "Brand New" they're like ok so the music is new but what's the band called? Lol I love this band. Amy (E) and I were gonna go see them with Dashboard Confessional and NoFX and MXPX but it got sold out. And then she got kidnapped to goddamn Montana. *cry* but anyways its good music... Maybe it'll be on my soundtrack- "Themes from kidnapping Amy back to Cali"

Britney Spears- I don't like Britney Spears... ok I do. But I don't know its not like I just think shes hot, but her music has that magic ability to just put me in a good mood most of the time. But then again, I'll readily admit that sometimes she just makes me sick. And for the record, I don't own her new cd so ha! I'm not a true loser. But her song Toxic is really good. Shut up... just shut up...

Cake- It's really uplifting and I don't know it's energetic smile music. I love Sheeps Go To Heaven- it's such a Lemon Jelly-esque song. It makes me SMILE! (Like Goldfish. I love Goldfish- yum yum AMANDA: THEY ARE CALLED NEMOS!!! )

Chevalle- They're great. Ok so it's depressing, yeah, but I love them. Send the Pain below is one of my all time favoritest songs even though yeah it is really sad (I cried during it once. Ok well actually I was crying about family shit but the song certainly caught me up in the moment)

Chicago- OK not the band, but I love that big band, show music. Aaah ~nerd heaven~

Christina Aguilera- ok label me ms.preppy loser. But I really like her stuff- the old old cd is totally... well it brings back the good old naive days of like 5th/6th grade. And her new cd brings a smile to my face because whenever I feel ugly and shitty and it... I don't know it gets me. Nice to know she grew up.

Coldplay- Off again on again. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood, but these guys are poets and definitly brillant. Think about the lyrics. OMG beautifulness.

The Darkness- I believe in a thing called loooooooooooveee! (Just not with you!!! Hahaha we're horrible. Ya can't get much of a hi' from smokeen' ore'ga'no!!!! Pill box)

Dashboard Confessional- Simply Beautiful. Lyrically and the lead singer. Lol well I guess sensuality and romanticism (wrong usage of the word so shut up Ms. You-mean-acoustic!) increase his sexuality factor at least for me. Yet I always am attracted to the jackass bigmouth bastards. Who I love love love to pieces y'all!!!! Hehe I mean plutonically so just back away horndog

Death Cab for Cutie- Brillant. omg I can't believe how rockin' they are.

Elvis- A god. No, not a sex god, just a god.

Eminem- A genius. I'm not the biggest rapper, as you can probably tell from my taste, but I admire this man so much, he rocks. His music is definitly a piece of heaven

Eve 6- Great CD. Another super band. "This is the night" reminds me so much of my first kiss.... yeah and Steve and "the Clique" and Danielle and Stephers and Jared, the good one, not Jarred, the... um.... "sensitive" one lol.

FeFe Dobson- OK I just got this CD, but it promises to be at least decent from the single, "Take me away" looking forward to it.

Fountains of Wayne- Great, hilarious band. I LUV STACEY's MOM! Winter Valley song is awesomeness too. Mexican Wine rock on. Yeah great cd.
Good Charlotte- I don't admit I like them easily. However, I DO. And I have since 6th grade, when ironically, although they were still unheard of (cept by tom) I had to pretend to hate them. Peer pressure- my best friends hated them and Tom luved em and made me listen so I pretended to hate, but I was in love. I like some of their stuff still but they're starting to become sell-outs. Or at least I'm worried they will. yeah...

Disney's Hero Songs- We all know the infamous purple CD. wuv it!

Hoobastank- AHHHH!!! Saw them in concert before I fell in love. But OMFG I am in luv with them. "The Reason" is an amazing cd. Amazing single too lol.

Jet- BRILLANT BRILLANT Debut! I love this CD. Everyone thinks you can't sleep to it, but it is like a beautiful beautiful lullaby for meeee and Samara in Charlotte's car. hehe

Jessica Simpson- oops S comes before T. Oh well. I like "Irresistable" (both cd and song) and I think she's hilarious. "Marriage doesn't mean instant maturity when that rings slips on that finger. Like look at Jessica Simpson. She's married and she's openly had sex but she's really dumb.... But she's hot!! Don't get me wrong, she's totally hot!!!" -me

Jimmy Eat World- Brillant. One of my alltime favorite bands! They keep me sane and they're so smart. "Authority Song" is luvable and so is everything else. I just thought I'd give a shoutout.

Kelly Osbourne- I haven't heard anything from her recently, but I liked her "Shut Up" CD, but I don't know I haven't listened to it recently maybe my tastes have changed. We can find out laters.

Kelly Rowland- I don't usually go for like R&B or whatever this is. But I like this CD- very soulful and smart.

Kingpin Soundtrack- my first (as in just mine) CD!!! I love it!

Lagwagon- I bought their CD because I liked their one song, "E.Daggar" for $12- the biggest investment I ever made on a one-song band. But it's a great CD!!!

M2M- great sleeping music. Very calming.

Michelle Branch- She is brillant. She inspired me to play guitar and well now I do. Her music, her lyrics and the good memories her songs remind me of are all super. (Singing "All you wanted" in Roberts, "Goodbye" driving to Yosemite and graduation, "You Get Me" walking back from Roberts. Yeah great memories.)

Moulin Rouge Soundtrack- Reminds me of Kt Sho. LOVE THIS MOVIE LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK. I can play "Your Song" on the guitar lol yay for me!! But it's simply wonderful music. If you consider yourself a music lover and you don't love this, or at least appreciate it, you're wrong- you suck in fact, because you aren't a music lover!!!

Nirvana- OMFG!!! Nirvana is brillant and I love them and they're brillant and I love them and I don't care if I'm preppy I love them.

No Doubt- Great band. Poppy ska- I like it! Happy-go-lucky music.

Kings of Leon- great band. Very good debut CD. Molly's Chambers rocks.

Outkast- really like them. Dunno why, but I always have so it's not like "oh yeah, I like Hey-ya, so I like them." nooo, I actually like them. Coolness

P!NK- She's so emotional and take-no-shit. Gotta admire her for that. And her music is certainly catchy.

Rooney- I have been into Rooney since no one heard of them. I got their CD for $6 because no one had heard of them. Now it's more expensive so HAH! The O.C. (my fav show, ps) brought them fame, but I had been spreading them before- I gave them to Matt, and Samara and some other people I think but I don't know.. or care lol. I also did that with All American Rejects and the Ataris and um someother band.... think think think. Oh well I am totally the music caller! mwaaaah!

Samantha Mumba- pure pop for an escape from reality

Savage Garden- I remember Zac (Mitchell) gave me this CD for my 12th b-day. Wow that was a fun party lol. Spin-the-bottle and kiss on the cheek!! sexual!

Shakira- great cd. Lol shakiraaaa.

Spice Girls- fuck you they rock. Happy go-lucky 4th grade memories and Ali Preston saying "Eww the Spice Girls are so out" when I wore a shirt with Spice Girls on it and then like a week later she played Spice Girls at a party and was like "OMG I LUV them" loser. lol jk but she was such a bitch to me. I don't know but she probably could still be. Yeah gonna shut up now.

Stiff Little Fingers- check them out. They are an old punk band but holy fuck they rock. I just got into them but they are awesome.

Sublime- Ahh!! Godly. I remember flying to DC, Anders tried to make me listen to them but I couldn't understand them. Now I'm in love. Lol- rock on Anders!

Sugar Ray- Happy old people music. I say that bcuz my mom luvs them but its cool because they're wonderful.

Switchfoot- Really really great. "Meant to Live"... story of my f'n life. But a great cd. "Dare you to" or what ever it's called is quite good.

The All American Rejects- I knew of their fame I am their biggest fan, I have Nick's used guitar pick I love love love them. They are gods. I want to marry Tyson Ritter. HALLELUJAH!

The Ataris- great band great cd i called their fame! rock on

The Calling- ok I have this CD. I've had it since November '03. But I haven't listened to it yet. Oh well.

The Killers- I love them. They're fuckin brillant- from their hilarious "Somebody Told Me" to their soothing "Everything will be alright" to their thought-provoking"All These Thing I've Done"- this band kicks @$$.

The Strokes- AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! They fucking rock. Genuises. They can talk about sex without being weird. LOVE EM!!! WAAAAA!!! "The Stokes.... yummy."

Tragedy Andy- Great brillant local band. I love them. Have 6 pins and an autographed CD. Oh yeah. Saw them play live at a private concert- like 7 ppl. Great memories!!!! DUSTY IS SO FUCKING HOT... but he's only a little... ok 9 years... illegal. OMG that's how old my cousin is... eww. That's 2 years younger than Mr.Carter.... double eww. Trent Ford! He's as old as Mr. Carter. EWWWWW! (thanx amanda!...not)

Weezer- great, fun, lighthearted band. Rock on zebra and just "Keep Fishin'" MORE LATERZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ (the O.C. is on..... aaaaa *drool* heaven!!!) *stiney*
