| I Saw A Girl I saw a girl yesturday.... She didn't look like me, dress or talk like me. Yet, I felt as if I had known her all my life. Without the two of us ever speaking a word. We looked at each other, both into the others eyes. From our seperate corners we silently communicatted, our eyes saying what words could not. Both of us knew we ahd a secret, a scret that wasn't allowed to be said outloud. She knew as well as I what our long sleevs keeped safe. Why we wore long skirts while the other girls at the party wore, short, revealking one's. We felt each others pain. Lonelyness. When I looker at her.... her eyes.. I felt as if I was looking inthe mirror. She was in a seperate world, just like me. Looked as if she had traveled to the galexy and back. Her eyes were a deep ppl of water, briming with un-shed tears. So despertly did I want to embrace her, a girl... just like me. The party music was slowly becoming annoying, and I could tell it was iritatting her also. A group of girls walked by, looked at us and started to laugh. We ignored them, by now we had become accustem to the rejection, and found it didn't hurt quite as much as before. She got up to retrive hr coat, I followed suit. Bidding out goodbyes to the host, we took our leave. The air outside was crisp, and fresh while the sky was clear. You could hear the snow crunch under our boots. While the chilly wind whipped our hair around our faces. Once a good distance from the house, we stopped, and stood for a while searaching the others face. She coud see a fresh wound peeking out from under my jacker sleeve. She showed me a recent burn that was starting to blister. Finially we embraced. Our hears leaping for foy at finally finding someone just like each other... thats when we said... "Hello." |
