Sweet notes: Sometimes… I move quickly. ^^ Er, I’m not sure about this chapter. It’s from Kai’s perspective. Also, Chibi-chan, I would really love you to email me so I can set you up to beta the next chapter. Everyone, I would have put this one up sooner but it was meant to be getting beta’d, unfortunately the darling Beta reader came down sick and was unable to beta it… so *shrugs* its just my normal writing I’m afraid.
Warnings: Yaoi, shounen-ai, Kai x Tyson, a bit of humour, lemon, a tad psychological… but think about it, if I can read it and comprehend it… how much trouble do you expect? Also AU Sci-fi. A bit of H/C.
Disclaimer: If pigs were flying, hell was frozen over and judgement day had come, I would own Beyblade’s… look outside, if any of these three isn’t happening, it probably isn’t mine.

Losing: Chapter 14, The reasoning.

Kai stopped walking and leaned against the wall. Breath coming in short pants. He could feel the cries of emotional and mental pain that Tyson was giving off. The problem was…
He COULD feel it.
He had seen everything Tyson had seen, had felt all the things Tyson had felt. Only he knew what it all meant… and he couldn’t do it. Tyson wasn’t the kind of person he wanted to spend eternity with; he was brash, flamboyant, and way too cute for his own good. Kai frowned. Why had he done it in the first place then? Tyson wasn’t the kind of anything that he usually Experienced.
But… to find that the boy was meant to be his lifemate? Surely there was some kind of mistake.
Kai closed his crimson eyes, his wings wrapped around him.
But he had felt the wonderful completion.
He had felt the safety and the will to protect the boy flowing through his very essence.
It had scared him.
Kai sighed. So now he had abandoned Tyson, had rejected him and seriously fucked with what was meant to happen.
But it couldn’t happen! Tyson would not be happy to spend eternity with Kai. He couldn’t face the boy, knowing that Tyson would have to depend on him for the rest of his life, knowing that they could never be separated.
Tyson wasn’t his type.
… So why had he done it? How could he fix it?
~ ~ ~
He didn’t understand. He couldn’t figure it out. One moment everything had felt so right, so good, and the next it had all become horrible and bad, he had been pushed away, rejected and yet he couldn’t understand why. What had he done to deserve it?
After a long while of crying and lying there he rolled onto his side. He felt so horrible.
It must have taken hours before he finally drifted off the sleep. Must have taken hours before he couldn’t think, could no longer feel.

/ Blue eyes opened slowly, only to feel the sudden rush as he fell, watching as the one who was meant to be holding onto his hand threw him down. He tried to scream, but he did not have enough voice. He watched as tears fell from the Alien’s eyes.
Someone important lets him down, emotional exhaustion. Falling down emotions.
Something unexpected. No fear in him, but Alien turns away, runs from it. Great sadness.
Important person is unable to face up to the new event and causes great sadness by leaving.
A wall is broken; his own hands begin to piece it back together, even without help. The wall turns into a door and through the door is a great light.
Thoughts and mind seem broken, just when all is lost his own strength of personality comes back together and he is able to recover.
A new possibility.
Something important…
"Tyson…"
Something dangerous…
"Tyson!"
Something that must not happen…
"Tyson wake up!"
It is…
Gone!/
Tyson flew straight up and was rewarded with a throbbing pain in his ass. He blinked blearily, seeing Max.
"M… Max?" His voice was barely above a whisper, his throat hurt and his eyes were puffy.
Max hushed Tyson. "Tyson, shh, don’t talk. I think you have a cold." He pushed the other boy down and tucked him in and pressed a hand to Tyson’s forehead.
"Okay, you stay there and I’ll get you a face cloth, and a bit of soup. Try to rest."
Tyson couldn’t even wonder why Max was there in the first place.
He closed his eyes, feeling a headache coming on. What was wrong with him?
A few moments later Tyson found Max was back, he blinked, it had seemed only like seconds.
"Max… w-what are you doing here?"
A cool washcloth was placed on his forehead, covering his eyes. "I thought I’d check on you, since I heard Kai came out of the room at like, three in the morning and didn’t go back in. Did something happen."
Tyson sighed. "How would I know?"
~ To be continued…
Sweet notes: Yes I realise its short… but I was getting another story beta’d while I was writing *dances* so good, so good! I’ll be off worshipping Angelic Chaos now!!! ^^
