To A Flag Burner
I am made out of cloth, colored red, white and blue;
And I have a story I want to tell you.
I have been carried to battle by men brave and proud;
I have been carried in parades to be seen by the crowd.
I was carried by men dressed in khaki and blue;
They served and they fought to save the likes of you.
It is sad, but in war men have to die;
And over those graves I will always fly.
I fly over graves of Heroes laid to rest;
Who served their country well and they did not protest.
When their country called to take up arms;
They came from the cities-they came from the farms.
You live in a free country let us not forget;
Give thanks for America...Give thanks to a Vet.
To those that want to burn me I have this to say;
Just think of the graves that are far, far away.
Some still may want to burn me it's sad but it's true;
Forgive them Lord, they know not what they do.
This is the end-the end of my story;
I'm still your flag...Also known as Old Glory.
So Honor and Respect Me And Serve Me Well;
But if you can't do that then go straight to Hell!
