Roger's music is passionate, emotional and powerful. He understands the human condition and is able to express it in a way that can really leave you speechless. I'm always stunned by how often i'm listening to the music and thinking that's exactly what I felt like, I just didn't know how to say it. He gives me hope-he recognizes that life isn't perfect, but it is precious and short, so we should make the best of the time we are given. And against all odds I think he believes that human beings may actually be capable of being humane, but it is up to us all as individuals to achieve a society where fear and hatred are not the most prevalent responses to our world, but instead we would find ourselves (Us and Them) living in peace, harmony, equality. It's virtually impossible for me to verbalize what his music has truly meant to me so far, so i'll stop trying for now. All I can say is that it (among other things) has moved me, inspired me, taught me, and ultimately changed me.
