In March 2001 my class and I went on a journey with the organization "Hvite Busser", or "White Buses".  We went to Poland and to Germany, where we got to see the concentration camps  Auschwitz, Birkeanau (Auschwitz 2), Ravensbrck and Saksenhausen. It wasn't exactly the greatest fun I've  had, to walk around in Auschwitz and view the baraks and the walls where they one by one faced with death. In the women's camp Ravensbrck we laid down roses and it was a strong experience to think of all the women who worked  their lifes to an end in there..
But luckily, the trip wasn't all about death, criminality (had some of it) and bad stuff!
We spent 3 days in Krakow in Poland, where we had LOTS of fun!!! It's a beautiful city with lots of culture and life. And may I mention what a crack Sanda and I had at McDonalds??=) Polish guys are really outstanding in more than one way!
We also had a drop-in in Berlin (*
London~Belfast and Berlin*;P). There we shopped away our hard earned Euros, all gone in 6 hours!!!
Know I'm going back to that room!
Here are some pics from the trip... I have more but I have no scanner... that's just too bad.
There were 2 trends on the trip:
1: Knitted caps, bougth them on the street for 2 dollars a piece--
...and 2: sun shades! In different shapes and colours.
