| 2002-09-10: As I Lay Dying - Faulkner. Well being the educated college girl that I am I shouldn't be saying this, but I'm not liking it, and not looking forward to writing an assignment on it. I'd rather be reading my Jeeves.
| 2002-09-07: Othello - Shakespeare. It's a frightening thing to say but I like Shakespeare. This one play's full of fancy, rhyming ways to say "She shagged him!" and "Come on doll let's go have that romp." Classy.
| 2002-09-05: Carry on, Jeeves! - PG Wodehouse. The one where Bertie tells all about how Jeeves came into his life. I won't have time to finish it though what with all the school reading I'm getting.
| 2002-09-02: Benevolence - which I found on the DT forum. This is so well written for a forum contribution... I hope it gets published. I'm not really a fan of Southern fiction but I can still tell it's good. I'm enjoying it more than Little Altars Everywhere.
| 2002-09-01: Harry Potter l'Ecole des Sorciers - JK Rowling. Figured I should read it as I was the last human on this planet who hadn't. This is the French translation of the first book. Someone tell me what the big deal is. 'Tis good reading for sure, but it won't leave a lasting impression. Apart from the bit where someone really should tell the translator that "a piece of toast" doesn't translate into "un morceau de toast". Jesus.

| 2002-08-31: Finally Home - Armistead Maupin. It's just a short story about some of the characters in The Night Listener. It's on the website somewhere. Nice work as usual.
| 2002-08-30: Kalle Ankas Pocket 275 - nsketnkande. Finally a really good one. Though I'll admit I'm not too sure about the bit where Mickey Mouse gets turned into a penguin and first giant killer anchovy then giant killer penguins attack the city (what do penguins eat? Anchovy! So if you have a giant anchovy problem create some giant penguins.... but of course.) A bit surreal.
| 2002-08-26: High Fidelity - Nick Hornby. Another messed-up English male with an oversized record collection. "Record" not "CD". See the type? Actually I'm beginning to like them.
| 2002-08-24: Gorgeous - Lynne Bryan. That was really good. Really.
| 2002-08-19: Dr Dolittle's Post Office - Hugh Lofting. A good kiddie book once in a while...
| 2002-08-15: Clock Without Hands - Carson McCullers. I'm more interested than I would have thought. I can understand how some find her work fascinating.
| 2002-08-09: Don't you want me? - India Knight. A very, very wicked book. That woman just really makes me laugh. Her heroine in this one is stuck between two cultures, being half English and half French, which I can relate to (now where's my bret?). And this one has an Austin Powers-type sex scene that nobody should miss out on.
| 2002-08-05: Little Altars Everywhere - Rebecca Wells. Maybe I didn't get it, but I found it a bit on the boring side. Still, nice depiction of the South. Doesn't get much Deeper than that.
| 2002-08-02: Much Obliged, Jeeves - PG Wodehouse. Can't beat a good Wodehouse.

| 2002-07-27: Girlfriend 44 - Mark Barrowcliffe. So THAT's what goes on inside the head of an infatuated thirty-something English male. Interesting. Nooooo I felt so sorry for him when he blew it. And yes I just ruined the ending. I know. But at least now if you're a sucker for a happy ending you'll know to steer well clear of it.
| 2002-07-27: More comics: Nemi #1. About a Norwegian Goth chick. Very funny in a cynical sort of way. Definitely something for me.
| 2002-07-26: Kalle Ankas Pocket 274 - Full Rulle p Bildrulle. Got home from my holidays just in time for the new one. Still improving.
| 2002-07-15: Hello Darling - Rupert Everett. He can actually write. A totally insane book.
| 2002-07-10: Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden. Meant to have become some sort of modern classic. It IS beautifully written and though I wouldn't call it fascinating it's catching. Different world I suppose.
| 2002-07-07: Even more Donald!!! I'm still on holiday. Kalle Ankas Pocket 272 - Full Fart Framt. Not too bad compared to what we got these past few issues, but not quite back way up there with the great'uns yet.
| 2002-07-05: More Donald!!! I'm on holiday. Super Picsou Gant 92 & 103. Good ones. Can't find 103 now, must have left it behind when I left. Damn. Will have to coax my brother into giving it back.
| 2002-07-03: Body of Evidence - Patricia Cornwell. Mmmmmmm. Don't know. More captivating than Black Notice, but just.
2002-07-02: Time for a new Kalle Ankas Pocket. I know. I shouldn't advertise it. Still, # 273 - Strtrvaren is a good one, so there.

2002-06-28: Still Black Notice. Woo hoo, there was a French werewolf in there. Those Frogs.
2002-06-26: Black Notice - Patricia Cornwell. I'm about 100 pages into it. Not much happening so far, apart from a couple of rather gruesome autopsies on some half-decomposed corpse.
2002-06-22: False Memory - Dean Koontz. Goddamn scary. That's what I call a baddie.
