Zacchaeus
Luke 19 Zacchaeus 1Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 2A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. 4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. 5When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." 6So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. 7All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.' " 8But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." 9Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." I was a the wild at heart retreat when I was asked what is your name? and I said Joe and He said no what is the name God calls u out by and I was like, "I dont know and I never asked" Well He was like well God has a name that He picks for believers, not all believers but those who speak to God that way. Well knowing the Bible talks very clearly about people whose names had changed like paul was saul and stuff so I went for my personal time with God and I opened my heart to God and asked "what is ur name for me, Father?" When I looked up I literally heard God call me Zacchaeus. I was like who is the heck is that so I asked Pastor Greg and he was shocked by it and showed me scripture about Zacchaeus, which is in the scripture above. Well zacchaeus became a bishop/elder of a whole city and likewise i have the gift of sheperding and administration he was also a short man and he cheated to get his way to the status of a wealthy man and I too did that when i made $500-800 when i worked for shawn. While i have necessarily cheated cheated anyone out but I have sometimes taken advantage of peoples' hospitality at one time but while i was with dreams i had encountered Jesus for the 1st time just like Zacchaeus did. when He asked me 1/2 way isnt enough. So from the moment I, Joseph Dean, vowed to find the truth bc i knew i believed in a higher power just didnt know what to believe but let me tell u i thought i was going psycho bc my uncle has multiple personalities so I thought maybe i was just messed up so I blocked it out until i started to read the Bible and then the Word of God bc real to me and the things Jesus said and how He felt about me was love I never experienced. Now I am here in Florida and while Satan is still out to break me down I have God who is my protector and other sheperds who demand Satan to let those He loves out of the Lion's mouth. There are some of us who give up and just let Satan kill us and there are other the fight and scream but Satan is strong. It all changes when God shows up through us as the church body and say no, Let Him go through the Power of God and the devil has to listen. That is where Joseph Dean is now and I am out to get the other 99 lost sheep so who is with me?
