| Leaving to the Land of the Faery Drifting into the unknown She wanders Setting aside mortality For the robe of eternity Once her life was ruled By a man With his harsh ways His sharp tongue His even sharper hand Not cruel, not exactly Just not soft She tired of trying to show him Tired of submitting Tired of hiding away Tired of surpressing herself Oh, what she could have been What she could have done But she put the past behind her And slipped into the world of the faery And as the sweet nirvana overwhelmed her She wondered Would he miss her? Or the dinner not on his table? |
