| The Epic Poem To End All Others | ||||
| Another one of those days That knocks you from behind You never knew a heartache Would work so hard to die I want to crawl out of here Another tired lost soul My faith died ages ago When the last innocent they stole My heart aches again I don't know why A beating halted in eternity A star falling from the sky Naivety will be the death of me Another stone throne at the accused A mistress smiles in her lovers lair She keeps herself amused When I work its all over Or jumbled up in one I thought I could pretend to be real But it could not be done Another cry for help rises up Against the cold-heart moon A hero draws up his crimson sword But oh, he falls again too soon Feeling self pity increases weight It'll only make you lazy I tried to bring about change But it only made me crazy An artist wishes for inspiration A king will have his head If he can't create another classic His legacy will be dead A break in the air Sends up a flare of flame Hearken on to me, lass Or you shall take the blame I wish you no harm my child I only thirst for hope I wished to save her Not watch her hanging from a rope I'm cursed now for eternity Originality ends Though I wished for Creativity It eluded me in the end. ~To be continued~ |
