Granted everyone's changing faces,
i stand alone in this world.
love and loss switching places,
losing hope in whatever faith is
the darkness has unfurled.
shifty visions of trusted friends
confuse my naive mind
so happiness finally ends
so much for the love my heart depends
i must leave it all behind.
continuing on for the sake of me
confusion, loneliness plague my heart
alone i have come to be
a new beginning i must see
yet i'm hesitant to start.
reaching out a trembling hand,
i stumble through this night.
my thoughts slowly gain command,
my heart finally takes a stand,
and i think i'll be alright...
