-Holy Water (or distilled)
To begin, smudge (lighting the smudge stick on fire and letting the smoke cleanse...its like incense) every member of the household, top to bottom, side to side. Leave open the front door to your home, apartment, or room; then starting in the back of your home and working from room to room sprinkle holy water and hold the smudging stick in each corner of each room working towards the door. Say anything you feel is correct for you. I used, "Bless this house and drive out negativity in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." This really works best after cleaning the whole home and can be done at anytime but I like to do it at the Autumnal Equinox.
