Kara
Marie Thrace known by her friends as Starbuck was a distinguished fighter pilot
until she had her flight status revoked when she decked an admiral's son. Kara's
Commanding Officer at the time made a deal with the admiral to have Kara's
flight status revoked if only she could remain in Starfleet. As a result of the
deal Kara spent the next two years bouncing from one starship to another as
their Chief Operations officer.
Kara doesn't suffer fools and as a result she has been in
numerous fights through out her career and in the academy. It has been noted
that Kara has spent the most time in the brig then any other Starfleet officer
in history.
Most of her attitude can be contributed to the fact that she retains no memories of her past before the academy and the lose of her flight status has also added to her disobediences. Not one to trust others easily has been found as another factor in her inability to maintain status aboard any starship. Kara is also unaware of the fact that she isn't human but is actually an AI with the physical form of a human. She has all the functions and appearance of a human making is virtual imposable to tell that she isn't a human. This could also be a reason why Kara has no memory before the academy. Her lost of memory presents her and everyone around her with a great mystery.
