Background:

Rommie is a Starfleet program designed to make starships function more smoothly. Currently assigned to the USS Aquarius as it's Chief Operations officer.  Promoted quickly from ensign in the past two years she also serves  as the Second Officer.

    Rommie's true program was in fact romulan based and until recently was unaware that the people who were suppose to have created her did not. Taken over twice by the core romulan program she has had to deal with both the mistrust of the crew she was programmed to protect and with her actions during the time. It is also believed that Rommie learned her ability to be deceptive from her evil half along with her passion and other strong emotions.

    Rommie has been known to enjoy a hologram program she wrote about a fictional MI6 agent, Lexa Doig. Where she spends her time solving various mysteries, crimes, and gathering intel on foreign countries of the time period that the program is set. The captain of the Aquarius has been known to drop in on her program and play along as well.

    Rommie is currently learning to dance the hard way.

Romulan Rommie Program

    The Romulan Rommie program was designed to serve in the same manor as the Starfleet version. Before she could be put into service in her original capacity the Romulan Empire changed it's mind and wanted the program to be destroyed. Carmen, her creator, took Rommie to Rita and James Romanoff where they agreed to add subroutines and put the spy on a Starship in exchange for information on how to develop another program like Rommie.

The Romulan program was also responsible for the destruction and murder of a Federation starship and her crew. She was also responsible for the death of Carmen Katar's husband who played a part in her creation.

Carmen Katara

     A beautiful, human programmer working for the Romulans, and willing to do anything for the Empire designed and developed the Rommie program for the same reason that she is used on the Aquarius now. Unfortunately the Romulan Empire changed their minds about having a hologram as a member of a ships crew leaving Carmen to use her back up plan, use the program as a spy. She took the program to James and Rita Romanoff where they add several subroutines to make Rommie more Starfleet friendly.

    Until recently no knew that there was a human counter part to Rommie until Carmen found her way aboard the USS Aquarius. Playing an innocent victim she worked her way into Rommie's program unleashing the Romulan version. It is reported that Carmen's romulan husband was murdered by the evil Rommie.

    It is currently unknown where Carmen Katara is currently. It is believed that she returned to the Romulan Empire after Rommie was rescued. She is considered extremely dangerous.
