Background:

Nira Nightshade, born Nalah Madish to Queen Valara Madish of Naboo and Senator Merrock Madish of Naboo, spent the first three years of her life on Naboo where she was born.

Shortly after Nalah's third birthday her mother, the Queen of Naboo, was assonated by unknown forces. Do to Senator Madish's dedicated service to the people of Naboo as their senator they allowed him to rule in his wife's name until the next election. A firm believer and supporter of his wife's ideals and views, it is believed that he truly ruled how she would have, with a strong belief in democracy and compassion for his people.

Queen Valara Madish revealed many things on her death bed including a secret affair with a young Jedi apprentice who was indeed Nalah's father. Though she never truly loved him, Valara enjoyed Merrock's company and made him promise her that he would allow Nalah to be trained liker her father, Jedi Apprentice Jeark Wyn, in the Jedi arts.

After Senator Madish took control of the thrown two Jedi, a master and his apprentice, came to take Nalah to the Jedi Temple on Corasant to be trained in the Jedi arts. Nalah's father refused after he had agreed to honor his wife's dieing wish.

After much convincing by both the Jedi master and his apprentice, Jeark Wyn, Merrock agreed to allow her to go. Feeling a strong connection with the apprentice, Nalah did not fear but embraced the opportunity to fulfill her destiny.

Once the apprentice took the hand of the young Jedi to be, it was the end of Nalah Madish and the start of Nira Nightshade, a young woman betrayed by her Master and whose faith in the force and Jedi will soon be put to the test.
