| Title: Stars in the Sky By: OmegaWolf Series: CSI Warning: Lemon, AU, OOC, PWP Pairing: Grissom x Natasha (OC), implied Grissom x Sara Sidle Summery: I was watching CSI one night and well, this is what popped in my head...this is very old, almost 3 years old so my fanfiction writing has gotten better...at least I think so. Just a pure excuse for Grissom to get some ^^ Sitting in the interrogation room of the Las Vegas Crime Lab, Natasha Steward observed the room. A table, four chairs and a mirror that she knew was one way glass was all that occupied the small space. 'Hmm...I guess there still has to be more than 2 witnesses,' she thought as the door opened. "Hello, Ms. Steward," the taller, darker man said, extending a hand. He was only a few shades darker than Natasha, but with green eyes and a more rugged look. "I'm CSI Brown and this is Grissom and Detective Brass." Smiling in return, she shook his hand before nodding at each of them in turn and sitting down. The men took their seats as well, Grissom leading the assault. "You said you wanted to speak with us?" he said softly and she blinked, startled at his voice. 'One would expect it to be hardened, old. Instead it's quite...pleasant.' "Yes, about Laci Roberts' baby," Natasha said, inclining her head. "She was abducted," Brass put in stepping forward. "Did you see anything?" "Yes, I have the duplex next to them," she explained. "I was at home when it happened." Grissom's eyes never left her and she found herself drawn to the intensity of his stare. "Who took her?" he inquired. "Three men got out of the car. One taller, Latino with an red, white, and blue bandana on and an undershirt. The other was a little shorter with a nylon bandana and a white t-shirt. The last man was short, Latino also but darker, wearing a suit, black." "Odd for Vegas in the middle of May," Warrick put in and Natasha nodded. "Yes, which is why I started paying attention," she explained. "Laci's husband confronted them. I couldn't hear what was going on because all of the windows in my apartment were shut but it seemed to be an angry confrontation. Laci ran outside, with the toddler right next to her and the man with the undershirt on picked her up and pulled out a switch blade holding it to the baby's throat. The guy in the suit threw a penny at them and smiled before getting in the car and driving away. Laci was hysterical." A brief silence filled the room before Grissom leaned forward on the table. "Ms. Steward, may I see your hands?" he asked gently and I held them out as he ran a UV light over them. "She's clean." The younger girl raised an eyebrow. "I would hope; I took a shower," Natasha said and the older man allowed a small smile. "It was to test for blood. No amount of soap and water can get rid of blood under a black light," Grissom said, putting the light under the table. "Is that all you saw?" "Yes. I went outside to help Laci then." "What kind of car were they riding in?" Brass asked, taking out a pad and pen. "A white Prowler, with a bucket seat in the back," she replied as Brass wrote. "I'm on it," he said before walking out of the room. Warrick nodded as Brass left and turned his attention back to Natasha. "Thank you very much, Ms. Steward," he said, flashing a sad smile. "Greg needs me in the lab." "I'll show her out," Grissom said and Warrick said his apologies and left, leaving her and Grissom alone. "What made you come forward, Ms. Steward?" "I love children," she said simply before raising a hand. "Please, you make me sound old; no 'Ms.'." Chuckling Grissom stood and Natasha stood with him. "So simply your last name?" he inquired, holding the door open. As she stopped in front of him, she smiled. "It's not unusual for people to call me by my last name. Calamari? It's one of my favorite foods." Natasha inquired and Grissom blinked. "Lunch," he said, walking next to her in the hall. "You have a very sharp nose." "And a sharp eye," she said, winking. The older man stopped and blinked at her before opening his mouth to speak. "We'll have to come in and take pictures from the view point in your duplex. Is there anytime that is ok?" "Before nine at night," she said softly. "Do you have the address?" Grissom nodded. "It's on your report. I'll be there tomorrow." "I'll be waiting." Next |
