MESSAGE OF THE 2002 PRESIDENT of HANA, LILIANE FRENCH

HANA's 2002 President Liliane French

Dear colleagues and friends:

In these days of severe nursing shortage, it is imperative for us to assess the individual talent that we have all been blessed with. These talents combined with our professional training and experience must be used more efficiently to care for our patients.

Technology and recent world events have brought us closer than ever. It is urgent that we recognize the diversity in all of us as a positive tool, rather than a divisive element.

We must purposely seek out the values that should be appreciated in our colleagues and fellow human beings. We must be willing to share our own uniqueness to complement one another.

H.A.N.A. will continue to network with other civic and professional organizations.

I wish to acknowledge and thank the executive board, the Chairpersons of each committee and all members at large for their support and perseverance in all activities.

Remembering our motto: "In unity there is strength."

Marie Liliane French R.N.

President of the Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida Inc. April 6th, 2002
