Zackery Thomas Zackery was the only witness of a brutal rape and murder but could never do anything about it. The guilt of inaction still haunted Zackery Thomas to this day. It has taken Zack along time to get over what he had seen, and he never truly did. But those images drove him to join the military and after that the police force in New York. He had stayed with it, but came to see the system that was in place as an out of date machine. It did the job but not with reliability or speed. He had watch criminals he knew committed crimes get off scot-free only to do so again and again. After a couple years of watching the system disappoint him, he left it. He would not be apart of something that did nothing but spend money doing nothing. He became a vigilante taking out the trash of the underworld one person at a time.
