Ages: 16 yrs old. Distinguishing Mark: Kumiko has tattoo of kanji-chikara (force) on her right, lower back. Miharu has kanji of yashahii (gentle) on left hip. History: They are the grandchildren (magoko) of former oyabun, Kazuo Taoka of the Yamaguchi-gumi. Their family is involved on corporate extortion and mizu shobai (bars, restaurants and nightclubs). Kumiko is the eldest by 5 minutes and acts protectively towards her frail and gentle sister, Miharu. They lived sheltered lives but are well aware what the family is involved in. When they were young, their parents were living in obscurity until they were named and voted to be the heirs. Because they were living in a male-dominated society, some of the members of the Yamaguchi-gumi could not accept this decision. The best way to get someone else in power is to eliminate the twins. It was the decision of their parents to fly their daughters to the US till the heat settles down in Tokyo. Kumiko vehemently did not want to run away. For her this means that she is coward and would not face her enemies. But for the sake of Miharu, she grudginly agreed. The twins are relocated to LA where they are now being protected by the local Yakuza. |
