Born and raised in Tokyo, Saito Yoshikazu was the third son of a businessman living in Ginza. Bored by classes in school he quickly ended up dropping out and joining a Bosozoku (biker) speed tribe. He quickly rose through the ranks of the gang, and was eventually picked up by the Thousand Blades, a prominent Yakuza gang in Tokyo. Here Yoshikazu's star shone bright, and he quickly came to the attention of Oyabun (boss) Tanaka, head of the Thousand Blades. Impressed by the young gangster's buisiness sense and charisma, Tanaka took Yoshikazu under his wing and raised him as his own. When Yoshikazu was thirty five Oyabun Tanaka was violently gunned down when agents within the Thousand Blades turned on the family and handed the reigns over to a rival clan. In order to avoid his death and take back the power that was rightfully his, Yoshikazu was forced to flee to the United States with nothing but the name of a Yakuza boss in Los Angeles. Arriving in L.A., Yoshikazu came to find the clan he had come to join was nothing more than a couple of disorganized street gangs. Most of the territory belonged to the Syndicate, and the rest was thought over between the Triads, the Mafia, and various other gangs. Used to the status and power of the Yakuza in Tokyo, Yoshikazu was disgusted by the lack of success, and quickly took control of the gangs at his disposal, forming them into the new Thousand Blades. Eventually he plans to unite the warring smaller gangs and depose of the Syndicate, bringing back the old way of life for the organized crime families of Los Angeles. |
