Runners: Devereux (Lunara & Dave Sinn) The Devereux family is an old money family based out of New Orleans. Their activities were currently controled by Lilith Devereux, who worked closly with one Ray Stanton, a former hitman for the family who now contracts hits for them and runs a bar called the Hellhole. The Stanton family have always been loyalists to the Devereux family, acting as the enforcers and advisors to them. Though, there are only a hand full of the Stanton name left, they'll fight till there's nothing left. The Devereux clan has an off shoot gang, called the Suicide Kings. These ten are the craziest, meanest guns in the family. They are known for their recklessness, disreguard for personal safety, and brutality. They are led by Lilith's half brother, and Ray's nephew, David "D." Stanton. The Devereux deal in many things, mainly gun running and prostitution. They don't deal much in the drug trade, except for marijuana. Their main concern is the well fair of the people of New Orleans and the economy of the area. They are currently trying to hold off the Syndicate from taking over their territory, a war that has went on and off for the last ten years. Of course, the Devereux family has other enemies, namely the Vincetti mob, but their main concern is the Syndicate and finding out who runs it. The Devereux family, or clan, is comprised of many different sorts, all dangerous. Most of the gang are loyalist types, pledging their guns and arms to the Devereux family. Each has their own reasons but all know the same thing. If you do right by the Devereux family, you're set for life. Loyalty is highly prized in the ranks, traitors are delt with in the most violent and painful ways imaginable. Once you join up with the Devereux family, you're their until death releases you. The Devereux control most of the buisnesses in New Orleans, indirectly. There are independants who run their own buisness, but the Devereux family expects tribute, in some fashion. To cross the Devereux isn't a wise move, they deal quickly and brutaly with anyone who is foolish enough to buck up. In New Orleans, they aren't contested. There are a few minor street gangs, but they aren't stupid enough to take on the Devereux. After all, it's becuase of the Devereux family that New Orleans isn't under Syndicate or Vincetti control. Recently, Lilith Devereux was murdered in her home while Victor Vincent was away. The words "Blood Bath" were scrawled on the wall, the same as in other cities. This sent D Stanton into a blind rage, where he had to be restrained and taken somewhere for his, and others, safety. Now, the Devereux family quickly searches for another Devereux female to head up the clan. The Devereux clan has two offshoot specialty gangs.
The Suicide Kings: The Suicide Kings are the elite soldiers of the Devereux clan. These are the best killers in the family, and by far, the craziest of the entire clan. They are masters of combat, have no reguard for personal safety, and are willing to die for the Devereux clan's cuase. Their place of meeting is the metal club, the Rusty Nail, which is a Devereux only club. No others even know where to find it. There is only a limited number of Kings, numbering at ten under the leadership of David "D." Stanton, Lilith Devereux's half brother. At present, there are two left to be recruited The Lowmen: New Orleans is full of the homeless, bums who slink around the streets and scavenge to survive. These are the Lowmen, the Devereux eyes and ears. No on notices the homeless, so the Lowmen move about without hindrance. Their main duty to is to watch and report, though in times of defense, they can be called upon for fighting might. They have numerous caches of weapons stored through out the city and all are combat trained. Most are ex-military. They answer to one Jean "Dog Man" Dugat, who runs Dog Man's Slaughterhouse.
