Short Bio : Shin'en was born to an American father by the name of Alex McNeil and a Japanese mother by the name of Ayumi Itsuwari. Ayumi came to America when she was still young, trying to escape the Japanese Yakuza who had killed her father. When the United States refused to grant her asylum she did the only thing left to her which was to marry an American man. Alex didn’t think the woman was marrying him because she was in love with him, but there had been an attraction between them, despite the fact that he was nearly twenty years her senior. That attraction resulted in Shin'en, whom Ayumi insisted on naming. Shin'en grew up in a very loving home for a short while. Though her parents only loved one another with a friendly affection, they never let her know it, and loved her just the same. When Shin'en was six she was picked up from school by a Japanese man who called himself Uncle Tedd. He told her that her parents had decided to go on vacation and he would bring her to them. Tedd never took Shin'en to her parents. He took her to Japan. Unbeknownst to Shin'en, her parents had been killed while she was at school. It was decided that they would not kill Shin'en. Instead she was given to the family of a corrupt delegate who did not have children. Again, Shin'en was raised well, into a loving family. Now though, she was going to prestigious schools and being trained in Kendo. At the age of seventeen she came home to find her family slaughtered. This time, Shin'en did not wait to find out what would become of her. Instead of running away she offered herself as an assassin for the Yakuza. Initially they laughed at her, but Shin'en was very talented, and learned quickly what they taught her when they took her under their wing. For three years she was with the Yakuza as a hired assassin. At twenty years old she rejected one of the sons of the leaders of the clans and during a “heated discussion” ended up killing him. She ran away to America and began hiring herself out as a professional killer. Currently she travels mostly between New York and Los Angeles, trying to stay away from San Francisco, where she heard that there is a large Yakuza gathering. |
