Charles Hurst Charles Hurst is an upstanding member of the community; the public and well-loved CEO of Ziggurat Enterprises (a huge architectural firm), he makes massive annual donations to multiple charities, funds several research organizations, and has been known to find homes for homeless animals. He is also a brutal, sociopathic megalomaniac who got his company most the architectural deals in Las Vegas through torture and blackmail, designed and built The Playground, and regularly abducts people from the street in order to watch them fight for their lives in the Buttonman competition. One of the eight on Stormtech's board of directors, his own company provides a way to launder large amounts of money through fake charities set up for just such a purpose. A handsome man in his late fourties, Charles was raised on money, and it shows in his pose and dress. Behind this foppish exterior, though, is a dominator; a man who will stop at nothing to gain control over others. Through Buttonman, he provides the Syndicate with a training ground for hitmen and a way to dispose of threats. Back
