Episode One - Girl From The Mystic Moon
In a bright pillar of light, Hitomi Kanzaki and Van Fanel are transported from Earth to Gaea, Van's homeworld.Hitomi flashbacks to what's happened before, such as her crush on Amano, the vision of Van, and the fight with the dragon. Van and Hitomi journey to Fanelia for Van to be crowned King, since he completed the rite of dragonslaying. However, during the coronation, Fanelia is attacked by an invisible enemy, and Van and Hitomi escape to retrieve Escaflowne, the legendary Guymelef.
