Crashes
This page may take several minutes to load due to the number of images. The end result is well worth the wait. The images of the Honda 929RR crash are for the most part a frame by frame pictorial. I hope not to have to add many more pics to this section of my site, but they do serve as a harsh reminder of the dangers of riding.
This crash was captured on film by my girlfriend Jessica on a Thursday night at the drag stip in Jackson, SC. Even though every precaution is taken, accidents still happen. Fortunately, this rider walked away unhurt, except for his pride.
Lined up at the tree, he launches just a tad hot and the bike gets away from him. He loses control, and hops off just in time. I think the sparks are from the can hitting the pavement.
The bike spins mid-air, and slides upside down for about 10-15ft. It then lands on the throttle side and continues to slide....
..until it flips upright on its wheels, and onto its other side. The bike slid for about another 5 or 10ft,then came to a grinding halt. The rider threw down his helmet as a track official rushed over to help him pick up the bike.
