North Wind Serenade
I gaze in awe at sunset skies,
     as daylight gently wanes,
        Examine Jack Frosts handiwork,
             on frozen window panes.

                      In twilight rises winter moon,
                              Sharing its soft blue light.
                                    Snow-covered meadows dance to life,
                                          And sparkle in the night.

                                 Summers leaves have long been absent;
                                      Icicles now in place.
                                          They glitter amongst the branches,
                                                      With diamonds stunning grace.

                                 The North Wind plays its serenade;
                                      For slumbering Mother Earth.
                                   Comforting her in Winters sleep,
                                         Awaiting Springs rebirth.
