| I am the Coastline, I am the Wave In so many ways, we are the coastline; those around us, the procession of waves upon our shores. Some arrive forcefully, breaking in roaring crescendo. Though more subtle in their departure, they take more than we might willfully share. They care not of the undertow they create. They leave us changed; at times, barren. But there, too, come the gentle ripples. Rolling in softly; almost soundlessly, caressing our shores with tender care. Quietly, demanding no laud, they gently depart, and leave behind them sparkling treasures. The ebb and flow is ceaseless; Each egress never true departure, as it changes us. But we must take care to remember. Not only are we the coastline. We too, are the waves, rolling up on distant shores. We have changed those seascapes; did we take care in what we left in our wake?
