EUROPEAN THEATRE:BOMBERS 2
B-24: This USAAF bomber was used in both theatres and was one of the first bombers used by the American. At the end of the war they number built was 24,000 which GERMANY could not match.  The medium bomber had 4 engines and a very good range and a ok bomb-load.
B-25 Mitchell: was light-medium bomber with 2 engines a good denfensive armament.  They could be used for stragetic bombing or photo reconnissance.  A major moral uproar by the Americans using this bomber was when they bombed Japan off the decks off of carrier Lexington in 1942 which boosted moral and hurt moral in Japan.
B-26 Marauder: This aircraft was also used in both theatres of the war.  This one says it was from the 386th bomb group and is returning from a mission over France. The Marauders were mostly used as attack aircraft on ground targets or vital targets.  They were fast, nice, and reliable aircraft.
