| Sort of wondering what the poem was about? It was inspired by the thoughts of my Father and how when he died there were words i had not gotten to tell him, and words i so needed to hear. the little girl was me pleading to anything and everything to bring him back so i could say what i needed to say.and to hopefully hear the words I as a child needed to hear.the dove represented my Father, "always weeping without no tears, for promises were made threwout the years" wondering what that meant? I made a promise to my sister Lynne that i would never cry, and still to this day I usually do not, and if i do never around people, Unlike my Father I have kept my promises. all night i use to pray and pray and pray and never got an answer, from that point on i have not believed there as a god, because if there was, it would have taken me not him or it would have brought him back. by the end of the poem you are probably wondering who the second person is. that person is my sister Lynne. That pretty much sums up the poem and breaks it all down for you. |
