lil' eva's my name and pygmy goats are my game. I've been raising pygmy goats for 9 years and have been showing for 5 years. I usually have around 60 goats year round. In 1999 my goats had 8 champion wins and in 2000 my goats have had 12 champion wins. So far this year, my goats have had 11 champion wins with the fall shows still to come. Hopefully, there will be more big wins for my goats in the future. Sorry about blow'n my own horn, but I am really proud of my goats.
Nine years ago, my oldest son needed an ag project. My husband suggested pygmy goats. I thought that was a great idea. (I'm a Capricorn) My son wanted rabbits and worms. I didn't like that. So, we settled on pygmy goats. It was love at first sight. I couldn't wait until we had babies. So, I didn't. I bought a few more does hoping one was pregnant. Our first baby was born on Valentine's Day. Of course, we named her Valentine. Valentine was with us for several years. But, we lost her with her first kidding. She was too small to have babies. I breed for easy kidding. The type of pygmy that should win in the show ring and does. I enjoy my pygmy goats and all my pygmy goat friends I have met along the way. At shows and at home. If you need info or just wann'a talk goats. Send me a line. I'll always be glad to respond. |
