Chapter 1
�So me and Danielle�s 6 month anniversary is next week, what should I do?� Jesse asked digging his hands into the pockets of his green cargo pants. �Well I don�t know, maybe a romantic dinner or something!� Matt shrugged, August 23rd, 3 more days of summer. Monday they would be back to school, but Matt and Jesse felt lucky enough to be starting then, most of there friends had gone back a week earlier, and his girlfriend attended an all girls boarding school up town, she had school all year round.
�Zoe wait!� a girl screamed running after another one, she had long curly brown hair with red tones and bright red streaks and smoky gray eyes, the one chasing her had silky straight dishwater blond hair and hit right above her shoulders and emerald green eyes with a few freckles sprinkled on her skin. �Sorry!� The red head laughed pushing past them.
�Zoe?� Jesse asked shocked. She spun around the other one running into her grabbing the bag from her hands. �Jesse?� she asked shocked. �Hey! What are you doing in New York?� he asked wrapping her in a hug. �I, my step mom sent me here, I am going to Cross Grove, the all girls school up town!� she said with a bright smile.
�Oh, my girlfriend goes to that school!� Jesse said surprised. �Hi, I�m Molly!� the friend said smoothing her hair over. �Hi Molly!� Jesse and Matt said in unison. �Who�s your girlfriend?� Zoe asked still thrilled that she had literally ran into one of the best friends she had ever known. �Danielle Taylor!� He answered. �I don�t know her!� Zoe answered pushing some curls behind her ears. �I know her!� Molly answered not seeming very excited.
�So what are you ladies up to today?� Matt asked shifting from his toes to his heels and back again. �Just on the town, Zoe doesn�t know her was around so I am showing her all the great places to shop and stuff!� Molly giggled. �Yeah, do you guys want to join us?� Zoe offered happily. �We�d love to!� Jesse answered, and the four began walking together engaging in small talk.

�I haven�t seen Zoe so happy ever in my life!� Molly laughed as she and Matt walked behind Jesse and Zoe, they found it hard to walk with them anyways, always pushing a laughing, jokes that neither Matt nor Molly understood.
�Ahh a photo booth!� Zoe squealed grabbing Jesse�s hand. �You guys, hold on a sec!� she laughed pulling Jesse in with her.
A few moments later, two strips of 4 pictures popped out, one of them making bunny ears, another of them pushing each other, they figured that it was because of a disagreement or bad timing, one of them both laughing, and the last was the with their arms around each other smiling, cheek to cheek.
�Aww how, corny!� Molly laughed. �Hey, I think it�s cool!� Zoe said taking them and handing one to Jesse. �Very nice!� Matt laughed. �Shut up butt munch!� Jesse said. �He always was so good at comebacks!� Zoe said laughing falling over her own feet.
�Zoe, are you ok?� Molly and Jesse both asked rushing to her sides. �Oww, yeah, yeah I'm ok just a little clumsy!� Zoe laughed holding her head with her hands and shaking it a little then getting up. �What time is it?� Molly asked looking at Jesse and Matt. �Um, 7!� Matt answered looking at his watch.
�Oh we got to go! We have to be back to the dorms by 8!� Zoe sighed. �Well, you have to promise to give me a call or something that way we can hang out again soon!� Jesse said. �Well give me your number and I will!� she laughed pulling out her yellow Nokia call phone. As he recited it for her she put it in the memory.
�I will see you later Jesse McCartney!� she said as he wrapped her in a warm hug. �You too Zoe Pierson� he laughed, then let go. A crack of thunder roared over the town and rain began to poor down, she zipped up her blue sweatshirt and pulled up the hood.
�Bye!� she shouted and Molly grabbed her arm and the two took off running. �I hope they don�t have to run all the way to school!� Jesse laughed turning around as he and Matt walked into a near by Starbucks.
�I have never seen you so happy ever not even when your with Danielle!� Matt stated as they sat down by the window. �Well, I missed her!� Jesse shrugged his shoulders. �I can tell!� Matt said playing with his napkin.

�Zoe, you ok in there?� Molly asked knocking on the bathroom door. �Yea just give me a second!� Zoe said removing her make up, dark circles appeared underneath her eyes, and her skin became pail. �Zoe! You�ve been in there forever!� Molly stated. �I�m sorry, just a couple more minutes!� Zoe shouted.
She opened the glass mirror and pulled out a small bottle of pills. She stopped for a second and looked at them, she then put them back and grabbed two Prozac. She opened the door and Molly was sitting on her bed reading a magazine in her bathrobe and slippers. �You ready to go down to the showers?� she asked indulging in an NSYNC article. �Yeah, let me get my towel and shampoo!� she said grabbing her yellow towel and apple shampoo and conditioner, then getting her moose and blow dryer.

�Did you take your meds?� Molly asked drying her hair. �What?� Zoe asked turning off her blow dryer. �Did you take your meds?� Molly repeated. �Oh, uh, yeah, yeah I did!� Zoe said turning her dryer back on.

�Look that�s Danielle Taylor!� Molly said as they passed her in the hallway to their dorm. �What are you saying about me?� Danielle asked glaring at them. �Nothing, your dating Jesse McCartney right?� Zoe asked. �Yeah, so?� Danielle asked. �Hi, I�m Zoe, I�m friends with him!� Zoe said. �Oh, great!� Danielle said giving a fake smile. �Heh, um yeah, see you later!� Zoe said walking back to her room with Molly.
�How did Jesse get a girl like her, she�s mean!� Zoe whispered after shutting the door. �Only to people she thinks aren�t good enough!� Molly said. �Well I guess I�d rather be me then one of her friends!� Zoe shrugged with a laugh.
